Experience

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Heriot-Watt University

Demonstrating in year 3 physics undergraduate lab sessions, covering microscopy, magnetostatics, laser physics and computational simulations.

Rank Prize Vacation Scholar

Rank Prize

Created a data-fusion algorithm combining high resolution intensity camera data with a low resolution single-photon imaging array, achieving a 5x increase in fluorescence lifetime image resolution. Awarded best report by the Rank Prize Optoelectronics Committee.

Education

PhD, Explainable AI

Heriot-Watt University

Focus on the development and application of novel explainable AI algorithms for use in healthcare, security and autonomous vehicles. Supervised by Prof. Jonathan Leach and Dr Abderrahim Halimi.

MPhys, Physics (1st Class)

Heriot-Watt University

Focus on quantum physics, photonics, biophotonics, numerical modelling and data analysis. Awarded the Scottish Enterprise Prize for most outstanding masters project.
